MY MAKEUP MUST HAVES

FIRST THINGS FIRST!

Prepping the skin begins days before the actual makeup application! Exfoliate with a good finely milled scrub, then hydrate, hydrate and hydrate some more! Drink plenty of water and don’t forget to scrub and moisturize lips as well! Below are a few of my favs for daily skin love!

P.S. The healing ointment is awesome for coating the face before bed. It forms a killer protective barrier and is awesome layered on top of skin loving serums and moisturizers!

Prepping the skin properly is ESSENTIAL for a great makeup application! I start by cleansing the surface with micellar water or a very gentle makeup wipe. Next I apply a moisturizer that I have tested and know DOES NOT INTERFERE WITH MY FOUNDATION! Not all moisturizers are makeup friendly. These below are some tried and true gems! For dehydrated or mature skin I finish with a few drops of the Danessa Myricks Beauty oil. The skin literally just drinks it up and it is truly a game changer. Oh and don’t forget the lip mask!!! Lips need lots of hydration to look plump and luscious. Slather that stuff on till you are ready to apply your lipstick.

Foundations are a whole discussion and recommending those depends on so many skin questions so we are going to jump right into eyeshadows ;))). These are a few of my go to palettes and most palettes from these brands are superb! Well, with the exception of Morphe..There palettes can be hit or miss but with the others you are good to go!

from left: Jeffrey Star matte nudes palette (real name starts with an “O”), Plouise mix tapes palettes, Colourpop that’s taupe, Juvia’s Place the Chocolates palette & Jaclyn Hill (Morphe) nudes palette.

Setting Powders & Bronzers are next! Love these and they never let me down!

In the Airspun I prefer the translucent extra coverage.

Cream bronzers: Rare Beauty always sunny, Nars shade #3

Powder bronzers: Physicians F. I like the bronzer shade and Fenti in caramel cutie. The hourglass is in the shade Radiant Bronze light.

Blushes are everything! Here are a few of my favs!

Rare Beauty: Happy, Patrick Ta..every shade :), One size makes super great trios too and Charlotte T. makes some glorious shades for those of you wanting more of a natural glow!

Lips!!!! I am not even going to get involved in lipsticks because there are just so many but here are my fav brands of lip liners and glosses :))

Eyeliner, Mascara & Lashes

I rarely venture from these below. They are tried and true and well if it isn’t broke don’t fix it!!

Only note would be that I ALWAYS buy waterproof. 🙂

Setting Sprays: There are sooo many but these are my current favs.
